RCMC Registration

Registration-Cum-Membership-Certificate (RCMC) is a certificate issued under Foreign Trade Policy to those person / entities who have already obtained Importer exporter code (IEC) and now apply for the Authorization to import/export restricted items or who applies for availing any benefit or concession under Foreign Trade Policy. This certificate is issued as a proof that any particular exporter is registered with the council.

What are the documents required for RCMC registration?

The e-RCMC registration is obtained through the DGFT portal, for registration applicant need to ensure availability of following documents:

GST Certificate

PAN of the business entity

Business documents - Certificate of Incorporation/ Partnership Deed/ Proprietorship Deed/ MOA/ AOA

A cancelled Cheque

Digital signature certificate (DSC)

Passport size Photograph of authorised person

Process

What is the process of registration with RCMC?

To become a member of EPC, an exporter has to file an application in the prescribed format. Thereafter RCMC is granted by the concerned EPC after admitting to the membership. To get registered as a manufacturer exporter, an exporter requires to give evidence to that effect. To become associate members of EPC, prospective or potential exporters may also file an application.

Step 1: Obtain IEC certificate - Before applying for RCMC registration the applicant must have a valid IEC certificate.

Step 3: Documentation- Provide the prescribed documents in scanned PDF format required to be submitted along with the application form.

Step 4: Application Submit- Once the application is complete, it will be filed with the concerned authority along with the prescribed fees.

Step 5: Issue of Certificate- Once the application is completely verified by the department, the exporter becomes a member of the Export Promotion Council.

Validity

What is the validity of RCMC registration?

Once you have registered with RCMC & received your certificate, the certificate would be valid for at least for five years from the date of issuance except in case of cancellation of certificate.
